		<description>Yes, the availability and the affordability of directory software has improved a lot over that past 10 years. The market has matured, there are many choices now. All of this is good. 
 
The biggest challenge to me today is this: if you want to have a truly central and useful directory, how do you keep it nice and tidy? Particularly if you&#039;ve got a bunch of software apps that want to stick their attributes in it. 
 
I guess this is an instance of the classic tool problem: you&#039;ve got quite a wonderful and capable instrument, but how do you use it without shooting yourself in the foot? :) </description>
